The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) has resumed its high-level stakeholder engagement in partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO) and Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Led by ALGON National President, Hon. Aminu Mu’azu Maifata, the local government delegation includes NEC members, heads of medical departments, and council representatives.
Expected dignitaries include Hon. Ministers: Adebayo Olawole Edun (Finance), Abubakar Atiku Bagudu (Budget and Economic Planning), and Prof. Mohammed Ali Pate (Health and Social Welfare).
Others are: the Special Adviser to the President on Health: Dr. Salma Ibrahim Anas, the Chairman, Nigeria Governors Forum, His Excellency, Governor AbulRahman Abdulrasaq (Kwara State) and the Managing Director/CEO, NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku
Also expected are: the Senate Committee Chairs: Dr. Mrs. Ipalibo Banigo (Health) and Senator Ibrahim Lamido (Primary Healthcare).
From the House Representatives are: House Committee Chair: Hon. Amos Magaji (Health) and WHO Representative in Nigeria: Dr. Walter Kazadi Mulombo
