The Centre for Transparency and Accountability has praised Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), for his exceptional performance. Wike, former Rivers State Governor, has been commended for his work ethic and numerous projects completed within a year.
Wike’s leadership has transformed the nation’s capital, previously plagued by crime, into a safe haven. The group’s president, Moses Adam, applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for prioritizing competence over politics in Wike’s appointment.
According to Adam, Wike’s impact is evident in the FCT’s road construction and rehabilitation revolution. Other projects include new parks, business premise relocations, and the Abuja light train services.
Wike’s achievements have surpassed the previous administration’s eight-year record. Adam noted that Wike would likely top the chart if Nigerians rated ministers’ performances.
The group also commended the National Assembly for collaborating with the executive arm to pass the 2024 FCT budgets. Adam thanked lawmakers for prioritizing the masses’ interests.
Wike’s logistic support to security agencies has reduced criminality in the FCT. Night patrols by policemen have contributed to the improved safety.
The Centre for Transparency and Accountability’s endorsement reinforces Wike’s reputation as a results-driven leader. His dedication to improving the FCT has made a significant difference.
Wike’s commitment to excellence sets a high standard for other ministers. His achievements demonstrate the impact of effective leadership.
