Anyaegbudike promises to run an all inclusive administration in Oji River LGA

Signed, sealed and delivered Hon. Greg Anyaegbudike has assumed office as the new chairman of Oji River local government area of Enugu state.

The deal was finally sealed wiith his swearing- in alongside 16 elected chairmen of the other council areas of the state on Monday, September 30, by the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Kingsley Udeh.

The state governor,vDr Peter Mbah, who witnessed the oath of office and swearing in ceremony administered by the state Attorney and Commissioner for Justice, Kingsley Udeh, tasked the Council chairmen on rural development.

He charged them to live and operate from their respective local government areas, cautioning there is no excuse for nonperformance.

Governor Mbah further pleaded with the 17 local government elected chairmen in state to enhance grass root development which is a cardinal policy of his administration in their respective council areas.

Speaking at a crowded reception in his honour,helld at Oji River Council headquarters later, Hon. Greg Anyaegbudike promised to run an inclusive administration that will enhance peace, progress,security and development of the entire Oji River communities.

He said he will welcome ideas from all quarters irrespective of party of affiliation, stating he is to elected to administer the entire Oji River local government area.

Therefore, he said his office will welcome contributions from other party stakeholders in his efforts to endear development of Oji River,in line with Governor Mbah’s disruptive innovative agenda for the state.

He expressed gratitude to the people of Oji River for voting massively for PDP in the local government election.

He called for total support to his administration with Barr.Seith Nwokolo as vice chairman and assured they will achieve desired results.

Speaking earlier, the member representing Oji River constituency in the state house of assembly, Hon. Osita Eze, told the people of Oji River local government area that ‘party politics’ is all over and that it is time for governance.

He pleaded for total support to the administration of Hon. Greg Anyaegbudike and his vice Barr. Nwokolo,to enable them deliver on their campaign promises and achieve more.

The state Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dame Ugochi Madueke, corroborated Hon. Osita Ezeh’s speech, assuring them that no community will be left behind in line with their campaign slogan ‘IT’s ALL ABOUT OJI RIVER LGA’.

Other speakers poured encomiums on Hon. Anyaegbudike as having the capacity, experience and exposure to stir economic development of Oji River local government area.

Hon. Greg.Anyaegbudike has served under previous administration in Enugu state as Managing Director of Enugu State Waste Envirommental Agency(ESWAMA). He also served as a representative of the British Development Agency(UKAID) in some Northern states and held positions with some Non governmental Organisations(NGO).

The reception in honour of Hon. Greg Anyaegbudike and his deputy, Barr. Seith Nwokolo, at Oji River Council headquarters was also attended by party chieftains from the 20 political wards in Oji River local government area, friends and well wishers,including the Hausa community in Gariki market Oji River,led by Alhaji Abubakar Yusuf.
