In line with the Spirit of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government, the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) said it has concluded plans to engage 93,731 unskilled and unemployed persons across Nigeria.
Under the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative, the Directorate will provide vocational, agricultural and entrepreneurial skills training with complementing transient job opportunities in the public works sector using over 30 different skill sets.
A statement signed by NDE management and made available to The Authority on Tuesday said that this job creation initiative of the NDE finds effective expression in six out of the eight priority areas of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Similarly, start-up capital, equipment and working tools will be provided for deserving participants at the end of the training while others will be linked to credit granting institutions to access loans to commence medium or large scale businesses.
The exercise which commenced on October 14, 2024 will last till the 31st December 2024.
Interested persons can log on to www.nde.gov.ng to create an account and register online with a valid email address, passport photograph and National Identity Number (NIN) or alternatively, contact the NDE office in their state of residence for assistance. Successful candidates will be contacted by the NDE office in their state of residence for deployment to training outlets, it stated.
