A serving corps member in Nasarawa State, Abdullbashir Aliyu has commended the Niger State Governor, Digital Farmer Gov. Umar Mohammed Bago for his unflinching support for Digitisation.
He stated on Thursday, October 31, 2024 in Karu local government area of Nasarawa State, at a sensitisation programme on Cyber Security he organised.
At the programme, the memory and legacies of the former Nigerian First Lady, Late Dr. (Mrs.) Maryam Babangida, came alive as the corps member Abdullbashir Aliyu made history by organisng the 2nd edition of the Late Dr. (Mrs.) Maryam Babangida Cyber Security Awareness Programme.
This groundbreaking event, held at Hotel 10.30 Event Centre in Maraba, Karu local government of Nasarawa State, aimed to empower individuals with the knowledge to safeguard their digital presence.
The programme’s theme, “Safeguarding your Digital Present,” resonated deeply with its attendees. By collaborating with MFC-Lab, NYSC, and Golden Bell International School Aso Pada, Nasarawa State, Abdullbashir successfully brought together diverse stakeholders to promote cyber security awareness.
Abdullbashir expressed his heartfelt gratitude to several individuals and organizations for their invaluable support. He thanked H.E Aisha IBB, Dr. Muhammad Babangida, Executive Governor of Nasarawa State H.E Engr. Abdullahi Sule, Hon. James B. Thomas, DG NYSC Brigadier Gen. Y.D Ahmad, Nasarawa State NYSC Coordinator Mr. Abdullahi Jikamshi, LGI of Karu Local Government Mrs. Oludele O. Joke, Hon. Minister of Youth Mr. Ayodele Olawande, and his home state governor H.E Umar Mohammed Bago.The program’s objective was clear: to educate participants on the importance of cyber security and equip them with the necessary skills to protect their digital presence. By doing so, Abdullbashir demonstrated his commitment to promoting cyber security awareness and education in Nigeria.
