Senator Ahmad Lawan, President of the 9th Senate, paid a condolence visit to Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi, on Friday, to offer his sympathies over the passing of the governor’s mother, Hajiya Maryam Umar Namadi, and son, Abdulwahab Umar Namadi.
Lawan, who represents Yobe North Senatorial District in the 10th National Assembly, arrived at Hajiya Maryam’s residence in Kafin Hausa Local Government Area at 10:01 am. Upon his arrival, prayers were offered for the souls of the deceased.
The former Senate President expressed his deep sadness over the double tragedy, stating that the sudden loss of loved ones is always painful, but the simultaneous loss of a mother and a son is “beyond words.” Lawan’s visit demonstrates his commitment to showing solidarity with his colleagues during difficult times.
