The Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Engr. Prof. Joseph Utsev, has pledged commitment to addressing challenges in the nation’s water sector with innovative solutions, stronger partnerships, and a renewed focus on serving the communities effectively.
The Minister who stated this in his new year message, also reaffirmed his ministry’s commitment to advancing water security and sanitation access as essential pillars of national development.
“As we step into 2025, I reaffirm the Ministry’s commitment to advancing water security and sanitation access as essential pillars of national development. We are determined to address challenges in the sector with innovative solutions, stronger partnerships, and a renewed focus on serving our communities effectively.
“Water is life, and sanitation is dignity. Together, we can build a future where every Nigerian has access to these basic human rights.
As we welcome the New Year, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all Nigerians, filled with profound gratitude and renewed optimism for a brighter future.
“On behalf of the Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation, I offer my warmest wishes to you and your families for a prosperous, healthy, and fulfilling year ahead.”
He equally extended sincere greetings and best wishes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and Vice President Kashim Shettima, for their visionary leadership, saying ‘the Renewed Hope Agenda have guided our nation on a transformative journey toward sustainable growth, inclusivity, and enhanced livelihoods for all citizens.’
Reflecting on the past year, he said; ” we have witnessed significant progress in our mission to ensure access to safe water, improved sanitation, and sustainable management of water resources nationwide. These milestones have been achieved through the unwavering dedication of our Management team, stakeholders, partners, and the resilient spirit of Nigerians, all united by the shared goal of improving the quality of life in our communities.
