NSCDC unveils 2025 strategy to combat illegal mining

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Mining Marshals have announced their 2025 Strategic Operational Plan, aimed at enhancing field operations, improving regulatory compliance, and intensifying the fight against illegal mining activities.This move is part of the Corps’ efforts to strengthen existing collaborations with the Mining Cadastre office and effectively prosecute its mandate.

This was contained in a press statement from CSC Afolabi Babawale, Public Relations l Officer, NSCDC National Headquarters, Abuja on Thursday.

According to the Director-General of the Nigeria Mining Cadastre office, Engr. Obadiah Nkom, the Mining Marshals have demonstrated a high level of professionalism, bravery, and resilience in the face of numerous challenges. These challenges have hindered the war against illegal mining in the country, but the NSCDC remains committed to addressing them.
