Zamfara students commend Matawalle’s massive contributions to education, infrastructure

The Zamfara West Students Association (ZWSA) has expressed appreciation for the strides made by former Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle, in advancing education and infrastructure across the state.

In a statement issued by the association’s spokesperson, Comrade Ibrahim Bello Mafara, the group lauded Matawalle for his dedication to creating an enabling environment for learning and providing students with the resources needed to succeed in a competitive world.

“Among his many achievements, the construction of the Government Day Secondary School in Maradun is a beacon of hope for the youth of Zamfara.

“It symbolizes his unwavering belief in the transformative power of knowledge, ” the statement said.

During his tenure, Matawalle—now serving as Nigeria’s Minister of State for Defence—prioritized education as a key area of focus, channeling significant investments into modern infrastructure and expanding access to quality learning opportunities.

According to the ZWSA, these efforts have laid a solid foundation for the state’s long-term development.

The association urged current leaders to build on Matawalle’s legacy, emphasizing the importance of maintaining progress in education and infrastructure.
