Hon. Isaac Lelei Tariye, ALGON (Association of Local Governments of Nigeria) Chairman of Bayelsa State and National Assistant Financial Secretary of the Association has congratulated Governor Douye Diri on his emergence as Chairman of the South-South Governors Forum.
Governor Diri, currently in his second term, was chosen as chairman after a meeting in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
Tariye expressed confidence in Governor Diri’s leadership, citing his experience and understanding of regional issues. He believes Governor Diri will develop strategies to address pressing issues, promote development, and unite the region.
Tariye also thanked governors from Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Delta, and Rivers State for their support and camaraderie.
He emphasized the importance of community engagement in the Niger Delta and South-South region to strengthen collaboration and unity.
