Kogi First Lady advocates unity, celebrates women’s contributions to development

The First Lady of Kogi State, Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo, has underscored the significance of unity and collective effort in driving development, particularly for women and vulnerable groups in the state.

Speaking at an anniversary dinner held at the Government House in Lokoja, Mrs. Ododo honoured women across the state, recognizing their vital roles in societal progress. She described the gathering as an opportunity to reflect on past achievements and inspire further advancements.

A statement issued by her media office said the First Lady emphasized the importance of peace and harmony across ethnic, religious, and social divides, she urged all residents to collaborate for the overall growth of Kogi State.

She commended Senator Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Initiative for its transformative impact nationwide, describing the senator as a compassionate leader dedicated to improving the lives of women and young girls.

Mrs. Ododo also expressed appreciation for the unwavering support of her husband, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, acknowledging his role in the success of her initiatives. She reaffirmed her commitment to partnerships aimed at empowering women and vulnerable groups in the state.
