The Senator representing Abia South Senatorial District in the 10th Senate, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, has urged Nigerians to support Roxettes Motors in its bid to revolutionize the automobile industry in Africa. This call was made when the Chairman/CEO of Roxettes Motors, Arch(Dr) Kaycee Orji, visited Senator Abaribe’s office at the National Assembly.
Senator Abaribe, who chairs the Senate Committee on Power, expressed his excitement about the prospects of Roxettes Motors, emphasizing the 10th Senate’s readiness to create laws that promote patronage for made-in-Nigeria products. He noted that Nigeria’s transition to green energy makes Roxettes Motors Electric Vehicles a necessity.
After taking a test drive, Senator Abaribe enthused, “Everything is cool, this is Roxettes Motors electric car made in Aba and made for the whole of us in Nigeria.” He encouraged Nigerians to support the company, stressing that its success would contribute significantly to the country’s economic growth.
Roxettes Motors is poised to make a significant impact on the automobile industry, with its 40,000-unit capacity assembly plant in Abia State nearing completion ¹. The company plans to produce innovative products, including electric vehicles and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) driven vehicles, with 70% of its production focused on these innovative products.
