Rector calls for collaboration with IMT Alumni

The Rector, Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu, Prof.Gozie Ogbodo, has called for collaboration between the management of the institution and IMT Alumni towards ensuring  further development of the institution.

Prof. Ogbodo made the passionate appeal when the National Executive Council  of Forum of the Alumni Association of IMT, Enugu  (FAA – IMT) led by it’s National President, Mazi Dr.Agodi Kanu, paid him a courtesy visit recently.

Prof.Ogbodo commended the IMT Alumni  for their various impacts to their alma mater. He said his administration will  donate a furnished office with a desk officer to the IMT Alumni to enhance their operations.

He pleaded for the support of the Alumni in restoring the IMT primary school whose infrastures have decayed due to lack of funds.

Prof.Ogbodo highlighted the achievements of his administration so far to include, improving students  and staff welfare, refurbishing students hostels, staff quarters and curtailing various forms of examination malpractice in the institution.

He informed his guests that he has also initiated a scheme known as  ‘ Rector for a day ‘ as a way of encouraging the students to work hard.

Speaking earlier, the National President, National Executive Council of Forum of Alumni of IMT Enugu (FAA – IMT),Mazi Dr.Agodi Kanu, told Prof.Ogbodo that they were on a mission to congratulate him on his appointment as the new rector of IMT.

Dr.Agodi called for collaboration with IMT management to the IMT Alumni lecture slated later in the year. He also pleaded for cooperation from the management to  facilitate the IMT Alumni Scholarship scheme for best students in various departments of the institution, also scheduled to hold later  this year.
