Sputnik Africa launches broadcast on FM waves in Botswana

By Emma Okereh

Sputnik Africa has announced that it continues the extension of its broadcasting network in Africa.

A statement signed by Anastasia Alyamovskaya and made available to The Authority, explained that Sputnik Africa programs in English are available throughout Botswana on GABZ FM, one of the country’s most popular radio stations.

It further posits that Sputnik hosts and correspondents from different African countries offer listeners balanced, first-hand information; exclusive interviews with high-ranking African politicians, influencers, and notable public figures; as well as objective analysis of events in and around Africa.

“With the addition of Botswana, Sputnik Africa programs are broadcast daily on the FM frequencies in Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Cameroon and Guinea”.

Earlier in September, Sputnik Africa won a prize at the African Union of Broadcasting’s 15th General Assembly in Botswana. The news agency placed third in the competition for the title of “Best radio magazine” about Africa. It concludes.
