All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed preparedness to wrestle power from the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA in the Anambra State November 8 Guber polls.
This indication came to the fore on Saturday during the official opening of APC office complex in Awka.
In his welcome address, the chairman of APC in Anambra State, Hon Chief Basil Ejidike expressed the resolve of the party to win November 8 guber polls.
He applauded all the governorship aspirants for their contributions towards making the day a reality.
Chief Ejidike also commended the National chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje for his love for Anambra State, which he noted started since he was governor of Kano State
He said that the national chairman has demonstrated genuine interest for the party, as APC under his leadership has been repositioned for serious business.
He expressed the readiness to work with him to ensure that his prophecy about taking over the governance of Anambra becomes a reality.
Chief Ejidike pointed out that the party already have strong structures in the 326 wards in the state.
“All the known political heavy weights in Anambra State are now in APC. I plead with the national chairman to intervene in the area of federal appointments being given to APGA members.
“Giving political appointments to non APC members is discouraging the APC rank and files who have been discriminated against by the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) government in Anambra State.
“Even with the palliatives sent by the federal government to Ndi-Anambra, the APGA government has been repackaging such palliatives and affix the picture of Gov Charles Soludo on them to make the gesture look like state government intervention.
“Members of APC in Anambra State are appealing to the National chairman to intervene on the matters raised and discuss with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on our behalf.
He however expressed the unalloyed loyalty of APC faithful in Anambra State to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
All the governorship aspirants for the November 8 Anambra guber polls were given the opportunity to addressed the gathering.
In his speech, the National Chairman: of APC, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje commended all persons who contributed in no small way to ensuring that APC has a befitting office in Anambra State.
He restated the commitment of the national leadership of APC to taking over rein of governance in Anambra State.
Alhaji Ganduje however reminded the party faithful of the need to work together for the success of APC in the November 8 guber polls even as he assured of free level playing ground for all the guber hopefuls.
