Fed Varsity Lokoja mourns its 5 students, declares lecture – free days

The Federal University, Lokoja on Tuesday declared lecture free days
in honour of the tragic loss of five promising students after the fatal trailer accident on Monday.

In a release signed by Mr. Vincent Ifedayo Ojo, Deputy Registrar, Human Resource For the Registrar. Described the loss as one accident too many, leaving university community in deep sorrow and grief.

“In honour of the departed souls and as a mark of respect, the University Management has declared lecture-free days effective from 12 noon on Tuesday, 18th February and all -day Wednesday, 19th February 2025.”

“All university activities will be observed on a low-key, while the institution’s flag will fly at half -mast as a symbol of mourning.”

“Our thoughts and prayers are with their families, friends, and the entire university community
during this difficult time.
May God grant them merciful judgement and rest their souls in eternal peace.”
