Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Alhaji Salihu Ozi-Salami, the District Head of Adavi Local Government Area, who died on Wednesday at his residence in Ogaminana.

In a heartfelt condolence message, Governor Ododo described the late community leader as a compassionate and respected figure who dedicated his tenure to fostering unity and peace among the people of Adavi.

A statement issued on Thursday by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Ismaila Isah, conveyed Ododo’s sympathies to the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Alhaji Dr. Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje, as well as to the Ohi Otenyiete of Ebiraland, Alhaji Isa Ozi-Salami—the younger brother of the deceased. Born in 1939, Alhaji Salihu Ozi-Salami was appointed District Head of Adavi in 1994. He passed away at the age of 86 and was laid to rest according to Islamic traditions at his home in Ogaminana.
