A pro-democracy group, Alliance for Better Nigeria (ABN) has hailed President Bola Tinubu’s son Seyi over his philanthropic, humanitarian, and youth empowerment quest in Nigeria over the years.
In a statement signed by the coordinator of the group, Gbolahan Jonah Osipitan, on Friday in Abuja revealed that Seyi Tinubu’s efforts to put smiles on the faces of people were deserving of recognition.
Osipitan disclosed that the group having carefully followed the exploits of Seyi Tinubu in the last two years in terms of youth empowerment across Nigeria and humanitarian intervention to victims of natural disasters, it is only apt and wise to encourage him.
He added that Seyi Tinubu has a grand plan to support more young people with a robust empowerment initiative.
“Seyi has so far demonstrated that he’s a special gift to humanity and Nigerians with his leadership and capacity by engaging in activities and programmes that alleviates the sufferings of the people.
“His actions during the Maiduguri flood showcased his commitment as a nationalist, proving he is more than just the president’s son.
“He also assisted students affected by the flood with no fewer than N100 million. We are aware of the N15 million donated to the son of late singer, Mohbad, and a lot of other interventions that go on unnoticed now and then.
Seyi and his wife’s foundations have renewed hope for the hopeless and supported young people across Nigeria. He has undoubtedly built a bridge connecting the older and younger generations of Nigeria.”
Osipitan insisted that Seyi Tinubu having shown capacity and leadership given the responsibilities at his disposal current will certainly do more when given a bigger responsibility.
He disclosed the group’s readiness to support the president’s son if the need arises in the future, noting that “Nigeria as a nation is yearning for a person like Seyi Tinubu in a leadership position”.
“We will continue keeping tabs on the humanitarian work and empowerment initiatives of Seyi Tinubu and we are ready to throw our weight behind him for a leadership position when the time comes,” Osipitan stated.
