An Evangelist, Isreal Oluwafemi Aderemi has called on Nigerians to pray for the success of the Tinubu presidency, saying it is an invitation to God’s wisdom, justice and righteousness.
He made the call at a press conference to announce the commencement of prayers for those in authority.
He hinged his call for prayers on bible portion 1 Timothy 2: 1 to 3 which admonishes christians to pray for all men, for kings, and for all that are in authority.
He said “God has commanded me, and placed in my heart a burden to pray for Nigeria, our beloved nation, and especially for our leaders-President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the executive arm, the legislative body, and the judiciary without any reservation. Thus divine assignment is not just personal but a call to all Nigerians to intercede with me for our nation and our leaders.
“This divine assignment is not just personal, but a call to all Nigerians to intercede with me for our nation and our leaders. In obedience to this command, I am committed to pray, to be praying fervently for our leaders every Monday to Fridays. And the prayer time will be 12 noon to 1 pm online at Evangelist Israel Adeyemi on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
“And some TV and radio stations will be broadcasting these prayers by the grace of God. This is not just a duty, but a necessity, as the peace and progress of Nigeria depend on God’s intervention.
“As stated in the scripture, when we pray for those in authority, we invite God’s wisdom, justice, and righteousness into governance, ensuring that our nation thrives in peace and prosperity.
“A call to the nation. I would like all Nigerians at home and abroad to understand that this mandate is not just about the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, but about our nation and the institution.
“As Isaiah 60 said, verse 1 said, arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. He has commanded me to rise and gather men and women to pray for our nation and our leaders, most especially our leaders.
“I use this opportunity to call on all believers, churches, religious leaders, and concerned Nigerians to join me in this prayer of intercession.
“We must rise in prayer for the divine wisdom and guidance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he leads our beloved nation, Nigeria. We must rise in prayer for the success of the renewed hope agenda for our nation. We must rise in prayer for the executive arm that they may govern with integrity and the fear of God.
“We must rise in prayer for the legislative body that they may enact laws that promote righteousness and justice. We must rise in prayer for the judiciary that they may uphold fairness and equity for all.
“We must rise in prayer for all our religious leaders. And finally, we must rise and pray for the peace, unity, and prosperity of Nigeria as a whole.
He said God revealed Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to him since 2019 as the president of Nigeria.
“While I was praying for somebody else since 2017, he appeared to me and said, son, the person you will walk with is this man. This is the man that i we use.
He said citizens must know how to bless the country
“I’ve been in America now for 18 years and I’ve never seen any America say bad thing about their country before. God bless America. They’ll tell you, this is America, man. You don’t do that here. Only in Nigeria, people will not respect their leaders, their president. And you want God to bless us? God is a God of authority,” he added.
