The member representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Hwy Constituency of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi, has been honored as the Independent Legislator of the Year 2024.
In his acceptance speech, at a prestigious ceremony held at Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos, Rt. Hon. Ezechi dedicated the award to the collective efforts and unwavering support of his constituents in the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency.
He expressed gratitude to Almighty God, the Governor and Deputy Governor of Delta State, and, above all, his constituents, whom he described as his greatest source of inspiration.
He also extended his appreciation to his family, the immediate past Governor of Delta State, the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, and his colleagues who joined him in celebrating this milestone.
The award marks a significant moment in Rt. Hon. Ezechi’s legislative career, underscoring his commitment to amplifying the voices of his people, advocating for meaningful legislation, and pushing for policies that drive development, equity, and progress.
As a dedicated member of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ezechi has sponsored several key bills, including the establishment of the Federal College of Fisheries and Aquaculture in Utagba-Uno, Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Delta State.
He has also championed motions on urgent public concerns, such as calling for federal intervention in addressing the devastating impact of gully erosion in Anambra State communities.
