Acknowledge Christ’s death/sacrifice in your conducts -Witnesses charge humanity

The Jehovah ‘s Witnesses, Worldwide, says acknowledging Jesus Christ’s sacrifice in one’s daily conducts with others would advance humanity and pave way for one’s salvation.

Mr Olusegun Eroyemi, Spokesman for the Jehovah’s Witnesses, made the assertion in Lagos State on Friday.

Eroyemi spoke with against the backdrop of the organisation’s upcoming event to commemorate the memorial of Jesus Christ’s death and sacrifice to save mankind.

According to him, the Passion of Christ for humanity is the reason for the season.

The spokesman said that living in accordance to His sacrifice should be a daily reference and manual in people’s interpersonal relationships, of which portrayed love and be able to halt crisis in the society.

According to him, Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide are preparing for what will be the most significant day of the year -April 12, 2025.

“The day which corresponds to Nisan 14 of the Jewish calendar, will commemorate the Memorial of Jesus Christ’s death, an observance rooted in Jesus’ words recorded in Luke 22:19: “Keep doing this in remembrance of me”.

”While there are more than 9 million Jehovah’s Witnesses globally, no fewer than 21 million people attended the Memorial in 2024,” he said .

He said that the memorial would be in all its regional stations in the world.

“We warmly invite our local community to join us in reflecting on the profound significance of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice.”

He noted that the memorial would feature Bible-based talks to highlight the importance of Jesus’ death and its benefits to all mankind.

There would be a special public talk titled “Can Truth Be Found?” on April 5 and April 6., to stir up Bible discourse for the memorial to
explore Jesus’ teachings about truth in an era of widespread misinformation.

He added that the organisation would conduct a month-long awareness-invitation campaign to ensure many Lagos residents participated in the programme.

“Anyone interested in learning more about Bible truths and appreciation for Jesus Christ’s death and sacrifice is welcomed,” he said.
