Former governor of Zamara state Alh. Abdulaziz Yari, has expressed concern over what he described as the unbearable condition in which the people of the state have found themselves which also informed his decision of continued assistance to them financially and morally with a view to cushioning the hardship of life they are faced with.
Yari, who is now a senator of the federal republic of Nigeria made the declaration at his country home, Talata Mafara when he addressed a large gathering of journalists on the activities of his personal determination towards humanity not only in Zamfara, but the entire nation at large.
Senator Yari who spoke specifically on the need to for the people to be their brothers keepers also disclosed that being rich does not mean to enjoy the wealth given to him by God alone, but rather to share it with others, and thus on no account should he stop what he is doing for the people, particularly the less privileged.
According to him, God gives wealth to the people to test their honesty as it does not belong to him alone, adding that we are all human beings, and God gives to whoever he wishes to, and if given to you does not mean to keep it for only you and your family, you are to make sure that you share it among the people around,” he explained.
Speaking further, the former governor who purchased about 500 trucks of different assorted grains and distributed it among the people of the state aimed at cushioning their condition during the just concluded Ramadan, said there is need for everyone who is wealthy in the society to contribute his own quota toward humanity.
“Everybody owes it a duty to help one another. I am therefore calling on all the wealthy ones across the nation to cultivate the habit of giving assistance to those in need as such kind of gesture always bring unity, love and understanding among the people. “it is also a way of building good relationship which also gives room for development he added.
On the issue of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who clocked 73 years, the senator, after congratulating the president also called on all and sundry across the nation to continue to pray for the president for more years ahead and wisdom with which to carry out his responsibility effectively and successfully,
He explained that president Tinubu is doing all he can to ensuring that the nation is politically and economically stable, and thus the need for prayer for him is paramount.
