The coast to 2027 elections has further become clearer for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State as another forum of grassroot stakeholders passed vote of confidence in their stewardship
A statement by Abdullahi Zuru, Special Adviser to the Stste Governor said the continuous declaration of support for the continuity in office of the two leaders being expressed by different interests groups was being witnessed each time Governor Idris visits communities or receives visitors on solidarity or appreciation visits.
The recent declaration of vote of confidence was by the forum of Special Advisers to the Governor, made of politicians of substance, technocrat and professionals in different fields of human endeavour, discovered to be effective grassroot mobilisers during Eid-Eil-fitri SALLAH courtesy visit to the Governor at his residence on Tuesday.
Vice Chairman of the Forum and Special Adviser on Health matters Dr, Aminu Haliru Bunza said being the foot soldiers operating at the grassroots, the Advisers are in the position to understand the feelings and opinions of the people in respect of the unprecedented development achieved in various sectors that have positively impacted on their lives.
According to Dr. Bunza, Comrade kauran Gwandu’s achievements, particularly in infrastructural development, agriculture, health care delivery, education and economic empowerment programmes recorded in less than two years are clear demonstration of the Governor’s capacity and political will of justifying the confidence reposed in him by the electorates.
” Your Excellency Sir, i have the honour, on behalf of Special Advisers and their respective communities to announce our collective decision to pass a vote of absolute confidence in not only your impactful leadership and that of President Tinubu, but also your continuity beyond 2027″
In his remarks, Comrade Governor Kauran Gwandu repeated his unwavering commitment to peaceful coexistence among the multi ethnic communities and continous execution of valuable and high-quality developmental projects adding that ” i am very much comfortable with your support and determination to ensure the success of my administration “
The Governor unequivocally started that there was no cause for alarm in his journey to 2027 in view of the fact that the achievements of his All Progressive Congress (APC) controlled administration are conspicuous and verifiable, and are consistently being commended and appreciated by the beneficiaries”
He however advised the Advisers, political office holders and members of the party in the state not to be carried away by the demonstrated total support of the people but remains steadfast in the mobilisation of people and sustain the assistance being given to the people in their communities.
Comrade Governor further revealed that ” we are not unaware of some hypocrites with questionable attitudes in our midst, but we are monitoring their conducts, though they will never be a threat to the consensus of the people of Kebbi State”
