Tinubu to kickstart projects inauguration in FCT June 10

By Daniel Tyokua

President Bola Tinubu will on Tuesday, June 10, kickstart inauguration of completed projects within the Federal Capital City and the satellite towns.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike announced this on Wednesday, after a fine-tune check on the Abuja International Conference Centre (AICC) Inter-change and N16 road in Gishiri to Jahi.

He said out of the 17 projects for unveiling, Tinubu will inaugurate 10, starting with the refurbished International Conference Centre.

Wike revealed that vice president Kashim Shettima will represent Tinubu at the commissioning of three of the projects, while president of the 10th senate Godswill Akpabio will inaugurate two on behalf of the president.

The minister further said speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas will during the exercise also inaugurate two of the projects, bringing the total to 17.

Wike said, “Mr. President has finally approve the commissioning of projects in FCT to start on the 10th of June, which is on Tuesday, after the Sallah holiday. And that will start with the International Conference Centre.

“We have reduce the projects to 17, for one or two reasons. The Vice President will represent the President and commission three projects. The Senate President will also represent the President and commission two projects.

“And the Speaker of the House of Representatives will also represent the President and commission two projects on the whole. So, 17 projects, because of time and space. Maybe, in other words, we, on our own now, can do the commissioning.

“We want to thank the President. It is not easy for him to give us 10 good days, where he will be around to commission the projects.

“So, we arr very happy that the people of Abuja are happy. You can see the joy of the children, and they are all feeling the impact of the Renewed Hope Agenda” Wike said
