…As Akagburuonye poised to empower 305 wards in Imo State

As political pundits and analysts continues to sensitized the people of Imo State ahead of 2027 on the need to respect the State Charter of Equity in favour of Owerri Senatorial Zone for the gubernatorial election, a major political earth happened last Saturday as Imo Is Rising Again, IIRA, a formidable grassroot youth oriented political organization collapsed its entire structures into Hope Rising For Imolites with a bang.
The historical event which happened at the national secretariat headquarters of Hope Rising For Imolites,Ogbor Uvuru in Aboh Mbaise LGA of Imo State was witnessed by multitude of people including leaders of the both non governmental organizations.
Barr. Success Obioma Akagburuonye, the founder and National Leader of Hope Rising For Imolites was on hand to receive them, together with chieftains of his group, as mark of his philanthropic gestures, he gave a marching order to the State, Zonal and Ward Coordinators of the organization to immediately identify an impactful project or programme he can established for the benefits of the people in each of the 305 wards in the State.
Akagburuonye expressed gratitude for their decision and visitation considering their structure as great and vowed not to take their decision for granted
He informed them that Hope Rising For Imolites has no input of Governor Hope Uzodimma in terms of its establishment but rather he was divinely driven to establish the organization based on the way and manner the Governor came into the governance of the State.
” Uzodimma fought and conquered two incumbent Governors of the State. Without God using Uzodimma, one of them was on the verge of instituting an aberration called political dynasty in the State. The other wanted to redefine democracy at the detriment of the people and the State.
“God brought him for a purpose, people should please stop criticizing him and his administration blindly. Let their be constructive and objective criticism.As christians, it’s a divine order for us to support and pray for our leaders.His mandate is divine and you don’t fight God’s anointed.The establishment of Hope Rising For Imolites with the slogan Olile Anya Di,Maka Odinma Ndi Imo is sequel to my support to his administration because of the way God divinely brought him into the governance of Imo State”.
While thanking leadership of IIRA for their patriotic vision of collapsing their structure into Hope Rising For Imolites,he advised the members on the need to work themselves into relevance with the existing but formidable sociopolitical structure.
Akagburuonye popularly known as Akaraugo further canvassed on the need for the members to jettison the antics of detractors and bad advisers, and to be focused in life, reiterating that Hope Rising For Imolites stands for progress,love, unity of purpose, discipline, patriotism and should be religiously maintained.
” I have never hold any public office in my life except during my National Youth Service Corps, I served with Federal Capital Development Authority, FCDA Abuja and based on instinct of hard work and God’s grace, I was retained after as an Engineer.
” My story at FCDA was not rosy, for the mere fact am an Igbo man with God’s grace for goodness and mercy. My God graced hard work earned me success as my name implies attracted pettiness, jealousy, envy, pull him down syndrome from friends, associates, co-workers and Federal Government, however for 2 years and 2 months I judiciously battled the Federal Government and their detractors, to the glory of God, my innocence was established and my case became a historical reference point for liberation of the oppressed, prompting me to read Law up to Masters Degree”.
” All my philanthropy and charity in life is from me as an individual and private business man. I have never been trusted with any public office or appointment. My philanthropic passion is as a result of my covenant with God, considering my poverty and penury background. It’s a resolute covenant that if God liberates me and my family from the shackles of mockery and poverty, that my wealth will be for the betterment of humanity and God’s household. Similarly, if he gives me power, it will be basically for the betterment of humanity and services of God”.
Akagburuonye further solicited for support and cooperation to the State government just as he commended the governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma for his commitments in the infrastructural development and transformation of the State.
Responding, Hon. Charles Chibuzo, the State Coordinator of Imo Is Raising Again noted that the grassroot political structure is a product of national structure but out of necessity was domesticated and inaugurated in 2021 without any godfather.
Chibuzo also informed that, the organization is deep rooted in all the nooks and crannies of the State as a powerful progressive grassroot based political structure.
He pointed out that their resolved to collapse the organization into Hope Rising For Imolites was inspired by the good and wonderful antecedents and pedigrees of Akagburuonye.
According to him,”without much ado about nothing, it’s our resolved to collapse our sociopolitical structure. Sir, we are here to totally collapse the structure for you and Hope Rising For Imolites, please we need your assurance of inclusiveness. Empower us to work for you “.
Similarly, Hon Henry Obasi, Chinedu Iwueze and Ifeoma Oguzie, the Coordinators of IIRA in Orlu, Okigwe and Owerri Senatorial Zones respectively lauded the National Leader of Hope Rising For Imolites for his philanthropic benevolence especially among the youths.
They stated their resolved to doggedly work with him in the realization of his desire to better the State noting that only fools doubt proof.
They also assured him of timely delivery of his assignment concerning the identifications of befitting programmes and Projects to be executed in each of the 305 wards in the State.
Adding their voices, Hon.David Anorue and Mrs. Grace Ochiulo, the State youth and women leaders expressed gratitude for integrating them into Hope Rising For Imolites, while reassuring for their total support and commitments to the vision and mission of Akagburuonye, they solicited his approval to commence the empowerment programmes with them.
