Killings In Plateau, Benue Must Stop, Concerned Christian Youths Forum Blows Hot

The Concerned Christian Youths Forum has strongly condemned the recent killings in Benue and Plateau states, urging the authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The group expressed deep sadness over the loss of lives, commiserating with the families of the victims and the people of the affected states.

The forum’s reaction is coming on the heels of several attacks in the two states, which have resulted in numerous deaths and destruction of properties. In one of such incidents, gunmen attacked communities in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, killing about 50 people and maiming many others.

According to a statement by the convener of the group, Paul Adama “Continuous killings in Nigeria must stop, and those responsible should face the full wrath of the law.” The statement urged the relevant authorities to take immediate action to prevent further attacks and protect the lives of citizens.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu had directed security agencies to fish out the masterminds of the dastardly acts to face the full wrath of the law. He urged community leaders, religious leaders, traditional rulers, and socio-cultural organizations to work together to foster genuine and long-lasting peace in the affected areas.
