Barr. Success Obioma Akagburuonye says he’s battle ready for his patriotic and divinely directed mission and vision of serving the people of Imo State and Nigerians at large, ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election.
Akagburuonye who is the founder and Global Coordinator of Hope Rising For Imolites (Olile Anya Di) disclosed this on Sunday at Umudinka, Uvuru the ancestral home of Barr. Iheukwumere Alaribe, the Executive Chairman of Aboh Mbaise LGA of Imo State during a well attended stakeholders meeting of the council area, All Progressives Congress, APC organized by the party executives led by Sir Tony Awusaku, JP in collaboration with the Council’s Executive Chairman.
Akagburuonye commended the party members for their love and unity of purpose as demonstrated by their attendance and conducts during the meeting, commending the council area for peace and stability.
He also applauded Alaribe and Awusaku, for their doggedness in repositioning the political party and their enormous commitments towards the provision of democratic dividends to the Council area.
” Am equally expressing gratitude to God for Senator Hope Uzodimma as God sent Governor for his visionary and purposeful leadership qualities. He has demonstrated that truly God brought him for a purpose because it’s only God that put him on the seat”
Akagburuonye pointed out that Governor Uzodimma’s recent award by Vanguard Newspapers as the” 2025 Most Outstanding Infrastructural Developmental Governor ” is a global endorsement of his commitments in the development and transformation of the State.
He enjoined the people to always commit the Governor, his Government and family into the hands of God as well as the council area leadership noting the challenges they face on daily basis as enormous and deserves the people support and cooperation.
” It’s only through prayers and appreciation that God’s grace will manifest and assist them and their government in realizing their overall mission and vision for the State and humanity at large”.
Akagburuonye further reiterated the need for the party members to remain focused, supportive and jettison distractions, blackmail, falsehood, campaign of calumny, propaganda and pull him down syndrome as the stock in trade of most politician.
“It’s due to my passionate love for APC and my covenante with God to serve Him and the people with fear of God and good governance that I have brought myself out as the sacrificial lamb to meritoriously serve, transformed and repositioned the State, to the glory of God and benefits of humanity.
He reminded them that, “the battle ahead is not for the lilly livered nor weak minded. It’s for people who have the special grace and the humility to serve the people with empathy and compassion for their needs.
” However, the battle is of the Lord and am divinely and physically prepared for the battles ahead. God’s grace is sufficient upon me and He is before me and with me in all the challenges ahead.
“Definitely, It’s His battle, am just a pencil in His hand. He has assured me that the victory is sure, guaranteed and settled. Please come and be part of God’s vision and mission. Stop being on the fence. This is the time to join the God’s Army” Akagburuonye pleaded.
The reverred Estate guru further recalled the biblical war story between Isreali’s as the children of Most High God and the Philistines army.
“The Philistines were so equipped, with bold and courageous Goliath leading their army, then Saul king of Israel was so afraid that he promised any Isreali that could defeat the vociferous army of the Philistines, the person and his family will be exempted from tax payments and this was a big relief then”.
Akagburuonye also recalled how biblical young and amateur David approached king Saul telling him that he is willing and prepared to fight Goliath the leader of the Philistine army for insulting God’s army, but the King out of physical assessment discarded David by extolling the virtues of Goliath including his war experiences.
Saul he said later asked David where he was drawing his strength and courage, and David told him how God gave him victory in different battles and challenges in his life and expressed optimism that the same Almighty God of Isreal is willing and ready to see him through, and since the battle is for Him, it will surely end in praises.
The astute politician likened himself to the biblical David and also advised them to be wary of the spirit of fear and doubt, “because whenever God said yes, nobody can say no, hence the hearts of the kings is in God’s hands and he have testimonies of God’s goodness and supports in his life battles and challenges”.
He also advised them not to be worried of those who will come out to tell them that they are more experienced in politics, “that this time, it’s going to be a battle of grace and His grace is sufficient upon him and no body should take God’s grace for granted because God must defend His name and statements of His month” he insisted.
The Philanthropist also called for the periodic holding of the meeting so as to be abreast of happenings within the local and state government as it concerns the populace.
Addressing the press,Evangelist Bethram Uzodimma, a critical stakeholder in the council area’s socioeconomic and political activities also applauded the State and local government Leadership for being visionary and purposeful in governance and enjoined them not to relent.
“Am from Aboh Mbaise LGA of Imo State, it takes me now just 10 minutes from Owerri, the State capital to my ancestral home. It has never been so good like this and why shouldn’t I appreciate Governor Hope Uzodimma for being people oriented and Barr. Iheukwumere Alaribe, the Executive Chairman of Aboh Mbaise for his transparency and accountability in governance. My prayer is for God to continue to guide and protect them. Surely, God’s abundant blessings is their inheritance as they have demonstrated unparalleled attitude of patriotism” he assured.
Uzodimma also described the Executive Chairman as a man of due process, unique with character, transparency and trust, and expressed no regrets for ever identifying with him
