Yusuf Dahiru Liman, the current Speaker of the 10th Kaduna State House of Assembly, has emerged as a formidable force in Kaduna politics — a leader whose impact resonates both in his Makera Constituency and across Kaduna State. Since assuming office, Speaker Liman has consistently demonstrated unwavering commitment to the welfare of his constituents and the overall development of the state.
Under his stewardship, the Assembly has passed landmark legislations, most notably the 2025 Appropriation Bill, which channels substantial resources to critical sectors such as education, health, finance, and agriculture. This reflects Speaker Liman’s resolve to ensure inclusive growth and sustainable development.
Beyond legislative achievements, Speaker Liman has championed accountability and transparency in governance. The Assembly, under his leadership, has launched investigations into reckless expenditures and abandoned projects inherited from the previous administration. Notably, contractors who collected payments but failed to deliver have been called to account, with several cases referred to appropriate financial investigative bodies.
Liman’s commitment to grassroots empowerment is equally commendable. In a remarkable display of community investment, he recently spent N40 million to cover the 2025 NECO registration fees for students in Kaduna South Local Government. This singular act of generosity has brought relief and hope to countless families and reaffirmed his belief in education as a catalyst for social change.
Speaker Liman also maintains a leadership style rooted in collaboration. His strong working relationship with Governor Uba Sani has ensured the timely passage of critical bills and facilitated the execution of developmental projects across the state. This synergy between the executive and legislative arms has significantly contributed to the current peace and progress Kaduna is experiencing.
Indeed, the improved security, economic stability, and infrastructural development witnessed in the state today are, in part, a result of Speaker Liman’s pragmatic and people-centered leadership.
