The Gomo III of Karmo Community, Mal. Umar Gani Sarki, has expressed gratitude to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, for the ongoing road construction in the community. In an address to journalists on Sunday in his palace, Chief Sarki described the project as a “thing of joy” that will give more shape to the community.
The traditional ruler commended Minister Wike for his efforts in improving the community’s infrastructure, saying: “No community is worth being a community if there’s no good road.” He praised the minister’s initiative, stating that the road construction will have a positive impact on the community.
When asked about potential demands from the government, Chief Sarkin Karmo said the community prefers to make quiet requests rather than airing them publicly. Regarding possible relocation of indigenes, he emphasized the community’s patience and willingness to await government decisions.
On the issue of scattered refuse bins in Karmo, the traditional ruler attributed it to the community’s growing population and development. He suggested that the government could help by evacuating waste to a distant location. The royal father also advised the indigenes and the residents to devise ways to keep their society clean and manage waste effectively to prevent health hazards like cholera.
The Gomo III of Karmo Community praised Minister Wike’s efforts in creating access roads to villages, describing it as a “chain of appreciation.” He commended the minister’s commitment to improving the community’s infrastructure and expressed gratitude for his good work.
