Hon. Umeha congratulates Gov. Mbah, Enugu Speaker, others for joining APC

The Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Justice, Rt. Hon. Barr. Sunday Cyriacus Umeha, has congratulated the Enugu State Governor,Dr Peter Mbah,the Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt Hon.Uche Ugwu, the Ezeagu Council Chairman, Hon.Vitalis Ndu and others from Udi/Ezeagu Federal Constiuency, for defecting to All Progressives Congress(APC).

Recall that a new dynamism in Enugu state politics manifested on Tuesday, October 14, as the entire political structure in Enugu state controlled by PDP collapsed into the All Progressives Congress (APC), at a crowded rally,held at Okpara square,Enugu.

In a press statement made available to newsmen in Enugu, Rt. Hon. Umeha who represents Udi/Ezeagu Federal Constiuency in the National Assembly,said the defection of Governor Mbah to APC marks a new dawn for the state and a unifying factor for good governance.

Part of the statement reads, “It is with great pleasure and a deep sense of honour that I heartily congratulate His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the Executive Governor of Enugu State, on his courageous and progressive decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“This bold step by our Governor marks a new dawn for Enugu State, and it is a unifying moment that brings fresh hope and renewed strength to our collective pursuit of progress and good governance”.

The Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Justice, also extended his appreciation to the Speaker of Enugu state House of Assembly, Hon.Uche Ugwu, the deputy Speaker,Hon.Ezeani Ezenta and others for also joining APC.

” I warmly congratulate the Honourable Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, our own son, Rt. Hon. Uche Callistus Ugwu, the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Your decision reflects courage, foresight, and commitment to the growth and stability of our dear state.

“Special appreciation goes to the Local Government Chairmen Hon. Vitalis Ndu (Ezeagu LGA) and Hon. Hyginus Agu (Udi LGA), as well as all ward councillors, political appointees, leaders, stakeholders, and everyone across Udi, Ezeagu and Enugu State who have embraced this movement of progress.

“Your collective decision to join the APC is not just a political alignment; it is a statement of faith in the ideals of unity, service, and inclusive development. It demonstrates a shared belief that our state’s future is brightest when we work together under one progressive party”, Umeha assured.

He expressed confidence that Enugu state will experience unprecedented transformation built upon the same visionary drive and energy that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has consistently brought into governance under his Renewed Hope Agenda.

The Udi/Ezeagu For Constiuency Law maker assured he will continue to partner will all Stakeholders in attracting more democracy dividends to his Constiuency.

His words, “As your representative in the National Assembly, I reaffirm my full commitment to partnering with all stakeholders to attract meaningful development to Udi and Ezeagu, strengthen our party’s foundation, and uphold the trust of our people.

It is on record that Rt.Hon.Barr.Cyriacus Sunday Umeha was the first National Legislators from Enugu state who joined APC,stressing that he will ride on APC as a platform to attract more democracy dividends to Udi/Ezeagu Federal Constiuency.He also emphasised the vital need to Enugu state to come into mainstream politics,by joining the ruling party,APC.
