Two distinguished Nigerians, Chief Bro. Felix Obuah, renowned philanthropist and businessman, and Mrs Andrew Ihwo Lois, CEO of Deeutensils & Deescent Global, will be among the prominent personalities to be honoured at the 2025 Peace Achievers International Conference and Awards.
The event, organised by the Peace Ambassadors Agency, is themed “Peace Building Through Sectoral Partnerships: Public and Private Sector Collaboration.” It is scheduled to hold on November 8, 2025, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, by 5 p.m.
Now in its 15th anniversary edition, the prestigious ceremony will also feature the conferment of an Honorary Award from the American Management University, California, USA, alongside the Peace Icon Awards, which recognise individuals and organisations whose work has significantly advanced peace, leadership, and national development.
Speaking ahead of the event, Amb. Kingsley Amafibe, Project Director (Africa) of the Peace Ambassadors Agency, said this year’s edition holds special significance as it marks “15 years of advancing peacebuilding, youth empowerment, and socio-economic growth across Nigeria and Africa.”
“The Peace Achievers Awards celebrate men and women who are true agents of change. Our honourees are carefully selected for their verifiable impact on society — regardless of tribe, religion, or political leaning. They are individuals making Nigeria and Africa proud,” Amafibe stated.
He added that the 2025 celebration will feature music, comedy, fashion exhibitions, and other engaging activities designed to make the evening colourful and memorable.
Among other distinguished honourees are Prof. Chris Imumolen, Maniru Ibrahim, Dr Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu (Edo State Commissioner for Education), Ramatu Shehu, Mrs Asu Kunemofa (Director of Finance and Supply, NDDC), Sourav Mukherjee (Kolkata Society for Cultural Heritage), Chief Barr. Dumo Lulu-Briggs, Engr. Ikechukwu Nnahasi, Ikechukwu Chidiebere Igbokwe, Chibudom Jephthah Chigozirim, Miss Omowunmi Ogunratimi, Ibrahim Saleh Gwandi, Dr Abdulrazak Mohammed, Candace Ebhomielen-Uaboi, Chukwuebuka Anyaduba, Amb. Dr Precious Okah, Segun Gabriel Adewumi, Dr Mrs Ginika Florence, Uzee Usman Adeyemi, H.E. Sidi Abdul Bomi Gulu, Mr Morris Jerry Ohwojero, Mr Christian Eyinnaya Okereke, Kabiru Ishaq Sa’id, Conan Orsakwu, Barr. Orbby Agwuncha, Amb. Stephanie Nnadi, and H.E. Amb. For over a decade, the Peace Ambassadors Agency has channelled proceeds from its annual awards into peace education campaigns, health outreach initiatives, back-to-school drives, and human capacity development programmes, aimed at promoting unity, empowering communities, and supporting government efforts at various levels.
The 2025 Peace Achievers International Awards promises to be more than a night of recognition. It will be a celebration of visionary Nigerians like Chief Bro. Felix Obuah and Mrs Andrew Ihwo Lois, whose exemplary leadership, philanthropy, and community service continue to illuminate the path toward peace and sustainable progress across Africa.
