Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to driving economic expansion and ensuring shared prosperity across the state as the new year begins.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Hon. Ismaila Isah, the Governor reviewed achievements recorded in 2025, highlighting gradual economic progress and the effective execution of policies designed to improve the living standards of Kogites.
Governor Ododo noted that 2026 represents a critical phase for the state’s development, anchored on the recently passed “Budget of Shared Prosperity,” which places priority on sectors including agriculture, education, health, security, and employment generation.
He reaffirmed his government’s resolve to maintain economic momentum through sustained support for local industries, youth empowerment initiatives, enhanced healthcare services, and continuous infrastructure development across Kogi State.
The Governor also stressed the need for fiscal discipline and transparent governance, assuring citizens that public resources would be prudently managed to deliver widespread benefits.
“Together, we shall build a Kogi State where prosperity is shared, opportunities abound, and no one is left behind, calling on all Kogites to remain united, law-abiding, and resilient as they work towards a brighter future”.
Governor Ododo further offered prayers for peace, good health, and success for residents in the year ahead, while restating his administration’s determination to implement policies that positively impact lives.
