The above quotes encapsulate and amplitudes the political philosophy and approach of RT. Hon.Yusuf Adamu Gagdi.
The story of Rt.Hon.Yusuf Adamu Gagdi amply demonstrated that William Shakespeare was right when he said “Be not afraid of greatness, some men are born great, some achieved greatness and some have greatness/trust upon them”. Hon. GAGDI is unarguably a great achiever of greatness.
Rt.Hon.Yusuf Gagdi is one man who believe in the evergreen philosophy, which state that, prosperity and talent are given by God, on trust, for the greater benefit of mankind.
He has invested so much of time, resources and talents for the general upliftment of man and society. This is one man who, for so little, have given so much to so many.He is no doubt a pillar of strength in our collective desire and quest to strengthen and stabilize our democratic experiment and governance through objective and constructive leadership.
Hon.Yusuf Adamu Gagdi represent different thing to different people, but one factor that remains constant about him is that he has majorly influenced his time and environment at a very young age. The story of his life has been that of, resilience, courage, hope, sacrifice, leadership and triumph orchestrated by amazing grace of God.
His unparalled and exponential growth in political leadership, is a testament to his visionary leadership, transformation impactful representation and unwavering commitment to the socio-economic development of his people; it’s also a reflection of the faith and confidence his constituents have on his exemplary and remarkable representation.
Born in Gum-Gagdi Plateau State in 1980. He attended the Federal College of Education Pankshin where he obtained a National Certificate of Education (NCE) before proceeding to the University of Jos, where he obtained a BS.c (ED) Economics (Honours) degree.
His desire for enhance academic accomplishment propelled him to enrol into the post graduate programm to study Conflict Management and Peace Studies, where he equally obtained an MSC.
Not satisfied and in his well acknowledged unquenchable desire for knowledge and education, he enrolled into the Famous Base University Abuja, where he studied and obtained MSC in intelligence and global security.
Even with his tight schedule, as an astute politician, his desire for self development and desire to positively impact on the society made him to proceed for his Doctorate Degree at Nasarawa State University Keffi, he obtained a PHD in Security and Strategic Studies.
Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, had a very inspiring and commendable political trajectory. He started as the State Financial Secretary of P.D.P in Plateau State. Since then owing to his diligence and dedication to duty, he has held so many prominent positions e.g Chairman Board of Directorate; The Lower River Basin Development Authority; Chairman Plateau State Library Board. Owing to his excellent and exemplary performance in the position held; his people of Kantana beckon on him to represent them at the State House of Assembly; a call he gladly obliged because of his love for his people.
He eventually won the election to represent Kantana State Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly; in the House of Assembly his, Charisma, Diligence and Compasionate Conducts earned him the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly.When the manifestoes of the peoples democratic party deviated from his avowed, political philosophy; he resigned from the Party; in 2017.
When he resigned from the Party in 2017, he decamped to the All Progressive Congress.He decamped to the APC in 2017, owing to his remarkable political charisma and accomplishment, he was beckoned by his people to represent them at the house of Reps; a request he gladly obliged.
He contest and consequently won the election overwhelming, to the joy and administration of all his constituents within PKK. In the history of the Political representation in PKK as a Federal Constituency, he was the only person who have succeeded in winning election the second time.
His unprecedented second ticket cum victory was made possible owing to his impactful difference in harnessing his extensive experience and strategic mindset to steer the affairs of his Constituency with poise and tact towards sustained growth and stability.
His second term in the National Assembly have been very impactful and remarkable as attested to by the constituent, when our fact-finding team visited his Federal Constituency.
He has completed many constituency projects that have direct impact in the life and livelihood of his constituent. In the course of our interaction with his constituent, men, women, youths, old and young without ethnic or religious bias are of the opinion that he should advance to the Senatorial Contest.
Consequently, they are praying and pleading with him to contest for the Senate in 2027.
