Eleven kidnap victims comprising; five adult males, three females and three children that were kidnapped from Gadan Malam Maman Community in Kachia Local Government Area (LGA) of Kaduna state on 26th October 2025 have been rescued by troops of Operation Fansan Yamma.
According to the General Officer Commanding 1 Division Nigerian Army/ Commander Sector 1 Operation FANSAN YAMMA, Major General Abubakar Sadiq Mohammed Wase, the victims have since reunited with their families under the troops protection.
He said, “The troops of Sector 1 Operation FANSAN YAMMA deployed at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Doka have successfully rescued 11 kidnapped victims. The troops at about 11:03pm on 26th January 2026 with the aid of long range Close Circuit Television (CCTV) camera mounted at that general area sighted the terrorists and their victims in the bush along Road track Gidan Dina – Amale, Kachia Local Government Area (LGA) in Kaduna State.
“Upon sighting the kidnappers and their victims, the troops mobilized swiftly with motorcycles and vehicles, successfully rescuing the hostages. After preliminary investigation, the 11 victims comprising; 5 adult males, 3 females and 3 children revealed that they were kidnapped from Gadan Mallam Maman Community in Kachia LGA of Kaduna state on 26th October 2025.”
He commended the troops for their bravery and professionalism and further advised the general public to always report any suspicious activities and movements to security agencies.
