Amidst the efforts of Federal Government of Nigeria to improve on the nation’s socioeconomic activities, Dr. Ifeanyi Onukwubiri, a frontline member of Nigeria – Turkiye Business Council has assured that the recent bilateral agreements signed between Nigerian government and Turkiye nation will certainly improve socioeconomic activities of both countries.
Onukwubiri, who is the Chief Executive Officer of TMT Travels And Tours Limited disclosed this on Wednesday in a press statement endorsed by him and issued to media houses in Owerri, Imo State capital.
He reiterated that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkiye and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria has opened more business opportunities for the two nations after the historic agreement signed in Ankara the capital city of Turkiye (Turkey).
Onukwubiri said “I commend and appreciate H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye, and H.E. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, for this strategic engagement and the strong commitments reached during their meeting in Ankara.
“The signing of multiple agreements and memoranda of understanding across trade, investment, security, education, energy, and defense represents a significant step towards deepening Nigeria–Türkiye relationships and strengthening socioeconomic cooperations between both countries.
“These developments will pave way for increased business opportunities, stronger private-sector collaboration, and sustainable growth for investors and enterprises in both countries.
“The reaffirmation of the $5 billion trade volume target further underscores the shared determination to expand bilateral trade and investment.
“This is a timely and commendable move that aligns with the objectives of the Nigerian–Turkish Business Council (NTBC) in promoting mutually beneficial partnerships, market access, and long-term economic prosperity for Nigeria and Türkiye.”
Onukwubiri said that his firm, TMT Travels And Tours Limited would continue to work with the authorities of Nigeria and Turkiye to improve efficiently and effectively the economies of the two nations.
