Tinubu takes 2027 campaign to Akwa Ibom, Rivers

By Chesa Chesa

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Friday depart Abuja for a two-state visit to Akwa Ibom and Rivers states, during which he will commission projects and attend political rallies.

The President will begin the visit in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, where he will commission several projects completed by Governor Umo Eno’s administration and attend a political rally.

Governor Eno has declared Friday a work-free day to enable residents to give the President a reception.

Among the projects scheduled for commissioning are the new International Terminal Building, International Airport Hospital and Ibom Aviation Village, all located at the Victor Attah International Airport.

Other projects include the Airport-Okopedi Road, covering Nsit Atai and Okobo Local Government Areas; Ring Road 3, linking Idoro Road to Ikot Ekpene Road through Uyo and Ibiono Ibom; the AKWA-GIS Office Complex; the Command and Control Centre; and the ARISE Palm Resort.

On Saturday, November 7, President Tinubu will proceed to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to participate in the All Progressives Congress (APC) rally.

The rally will be the President’s third since he flagged off his re-election campaign in Kaduna last month.

According to a statement issued on Thursday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the visits will also provide opportunities for Tinubu to engage with political stakeholders, party members and supporters.

The statement said the engagements would emphasise unity, political stability and a shared commitment to national progress.
