Satisfied with his immense contributions in socioeconomic and political advancement of Nigeria and Igboland in particular, the United Igbo Elders Council(UNIEC) Worldwide has advanced plans to give triple recognitions to Barr. Success Obioma Akagburuonye.
The recognitions which comes up on Sunday 22nd February, 2026 at Ogbor Uvuru in Aboh Mbaise LGA of Imo State, the ancestral home of Akagburuonye will be part of the historical programmes marking his 60th diamond birthday week long ceremonies.
The prestigious triple recognition includes
his induction as Member, Board of Trustees (BoT) / National Life Patron of the United Igbo Elders Council (UNIEC) Worldwide; and an investiture as Chairman, Board of Directors of Igbo Think-Home Investment and Development Limited, the institutional custodian of the Igbo Think-Home Investment and Development Philosophy.
The evergreen event will feature formal decoration rites and the presentation of the UNIEC Worldwide Certificate of Honour, alongside goodwill messages from elder-statesmen, traditional rulers, captains of industry, religious leaders, and members of the Igbo Diaspora.
According to UNIEC Worldwide in a press statement endorsed by,His Lordship, Hon. Justice Anthony Iguh, CON, Emeritus Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and the President General of the organization, “Akagburuonye’s induction and investiture recognitions is as a result of his exceptional record of enterprise, philanthropy, leadership, humanity empowerment and advocacy for home-grown development, particularly his consistent promotion of the Igbo Think-Home Investment and Development Philosophy through large-scale, impact-driven investments located within Igboland and his ancestral home in particular”
Ikpeama informed that the United Igbo Elders Council (UNIEC) Worldwide, is operating in strategic affiliation with the United Igbo Patrons and Elders Congress (UNIPEC) Worldwide, which is a socio-cultural umbrella body, comprising elder-statesmen, major stakeholders, opinion leaders, and leaders of thought of Igbo extraction across Nigeria and the Diaspora.
He also informed that UNIEC Worldwide is dedicated to the restoration of Igbo identity, language, values, traditions, and cultural heritages, as well as the regeneration and institutionalisation of the Igbo Think-Home Investment and Development Philosophy as a pathway to sustainable regional prosperity.
The President-General pointed out that, the Council’s growth and recognitions in terms of nationally and internationally is a total reflection of his administration’s commitment towards visionary and pragmatic leadership.
