Wike, who stated this after he inspected some ongoing projects in Abuja on Tuesday, pointed out that a lot has changed in terms of the provision of infrastructure.

He said that in the 50th Anniversary of the FCT, the Tinubu administration had done pretty well, describing the 2026 as a golden jubilee year for the nation’s capital.

“Remembering where we’re coming from, I think Mr President has changed the landscape of Abuja in the last two years in office and now going to three years.

“We are also following what the Abuja master plan says. So I think we have really done well to the glory of God in terms of infrastructure,” he said.

After inspecting the Gishiri road, Outer Southern Express way, and the relocation site for Apo Mechanic market in Wassa., Wike identified the road in Gishiri as one of the projects that will be inaugurated during president Bola Tinubu’s third anniversary in May.

The Minister lauded the contractors for a job well done, saying more will be done before the anniversary

He said:”We believe that the Gishiri road is one of the projects that will be inaugurated in the third year of Mr. President’s anniversary.

“I’m quite impressed with the quality of the job that has been carried out by CGC. So we’re happy with what we are doing”

On the FCT’s 50th anniversary, Wike said a lot of things have changed within the period, “a lot has changed in terms of the provision of infrastructure. I just spoke with the Executive Secretary of the FCDA. For 50 years we have done well.

“It’s a jubilee year for us. Remembering where we are coming from, I think Mr. President is two years in office and now going to three years in office and he has changed the landscape of Abuja. Remember the master plan, we are also following what the master plan is. So I think we have really done well”.

The Minister also expressed happiness over the end of the FCTA workers’ strike, commending the unions for coming to agreement.
