No plans to demolish Ekwulobia flyover, says Soludo’s Press Secretary

From Isaac Ojo

Anambra State government has dismissed the rumoured plans to demolish Ekwulobia flyover bridge.

The Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Christian Aburime made the clarification in a press statement made available to journalists.

Aburime said that the claim is utterly false, malicious, and wicked even as he declared categorically and unequivocally that these claims are completely baseless, and represent a deliberate attempt to mislead Ndi Anambra.

He pointed out that the rumour is aimed at undermining the significant infrastructural achievements of the administration of Gov Charles Soludo.

Aburime said that the Ekwulobia Flyover Bridge, which is due to be officially commissioned later this month, is a world-class infrastructure project that has been constructed to the highest international standards.

“The bridge has undergone rigorous quality assurance tests and structural integrity assessments by certified engineers and relevant regulatory authorities, all of which confirm that the structure is safe, sound, and fit for public use.

“This legacy project, which comprises a 300-metre long flyover spanning from Nanka to Uga, a modern bus terminal, approximately four adjoining roads and special lighting, represents a transformative investment in the infrastructure needs of our people.

“The long-awaited Ekwulobia Flyover is truly a sight to behold and will serve as a critical link connecting communities, dramatically reducing travel time, enhancing road safety, and spurring economic development across the region.” He said.
