According to Akpabio, the country has witnessed significant and positive changes in the economy, security, and infrastructural development in the last three years. He acknowledged that there is still more work to be done, but emphasized that notable progress has been made, saying “We are not yet there, but we have since left where we used to be.”

The Senate President also praised Vice President Kashim Shettima, members of the National Assembly, and the Federal Executive Council for standing by the President to ensure Nigerians enjoy peace and democracy dividends without discrimination. He thanked them for their support and prayers, saying that with their collective efforts, Nigeria will achieve greater heights.

In a tribute to the late Elder Ubeng, Akpabio described him as a man of love and care, who fitted into the family matrix as a big brother and executed his duties with warmth and love. He recalled that the late Ubeng was a respected community leader and Lay Preacher of the Methodist Church.

The officiating minister, Most Rev (Dr) Etim Udo Ekong, charged the people to do good to all, saying that it is what will outlive them and be remembered when they are gone, adding that death is inevitable, and urging them to live each day as if it were their last.
