Track Record in Public Service
Anohu previously served as Director-General of the National Pension Commission (PENCOM), where she spearheaded reforms aimed at strengthening transparency, enhancing regulatory oversight and boosting stakeholder confidence in Nigeria’s pension administration system.

Her public service career also includes roles at the Bureau of Public Enterprises and later at the African Development Bank (AfDB). At the AfDB, she played a key leadership role in the Africa Investment Forum, helping to facilitate investment transactions and partnerships designed to accelerate infrastructure and economic development across the continent.

CWAI noted that her work helped position African-led solutions at the centre of major cross-border investment discussions.

Private Sector Leadership
Anohu currently leads Mutandis Africa Group, where she focuses on investment facilitation, policy advisory and strategic development initiatives across African markets. CWAI said her transition into entrepreneurship reflects her sustained commitment to unlocking economic opportunities and strengthening investor confidence in African enterprises.

Inspiration for Women Across Africa
Beyond her professional achievements, CWAI described Anohu as a role model for women and young leaders across the continent, citing her emphasis on competence, ethical leadership and institution-building.

“Her journey demonstrates that principled leadership and clarity of vision remain critical drivers of sustainable development,” the statement said.

Award Ceremony
The award ceremony is scheduled to hold on March 8, 2026, in Lagos, aligning with International Women’s Day celebrations.

CWAI commended ARISE Media Group for spotlighting African leaders whose work reflects excellence and measurable impact across sectors, adding that Anohu’s recognition underscores the importance of value-driven leadership in advancing Africa’s development agenda.
