At the high-level session held at the Ministry’s Conference Room, the Minister stressed that Nigeria’s security challenges demand renewed urgency, innovation and coordination.

He urged the Chief of Defence Staff and Service Chiefs to develop fresh, practical and implementable strategies capable of delivering measurable results in ongoing operations nationwide.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media, Timothy Antigha, the Minister praised the professionalism, resilience and gallantry of troops in various theatres of operation, assuring them of sustained support to improve welfare and operational efficiency within the Armed Forces.

General Musa also addressed concerns over the presence of the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) in Nigeria, clarifying that American personnel are in the country strictly for training and advisory purposes.

He reaffirmed that the Armed Forces of Nigeria remain fully in command of all operations conducted within the nation’s territory.

The monthly briefing, the first of its kind under the current leadership, provided an opportunity to review ongoing military engagements and reinforce strategic direction aimed at restoring lasting peace and stability across the federation.
