Amb. Kingsley Amafibe Leads Preparations for 2026, 100 Most Notable Peace Icons in Morocco

As preparations intensify for the 2026 edition of the 100 Most Notable Africans Leadership and Business Summit, Project Director of the Davdan Peace and Advocacy Foundation, Amb. Kingsley Amafibe, has reaffirmed the event’s commitment to advancing Africa’s growth through strategic collaboration and leadership excellence.

The high-profile summit, scheduled to hold from June 19 to 21, 2026, in Marrakech, Morocco, is expected to convene top policymakers, entrepreneurs, investors, diplomats, and innovators from across the continent and the diaspora.

Amafibe, who is spearheading the continental gathering, noted that the summit will serve as a critical platform for fostering cross-border partnerships, exploring investment opportunities, and promoting sustainable economic development in Africa.

Speaking on the significance of the event, he emphasised that the initiative is dedicated to recognising African leaders who have demonstrated excellence in peacebuilding, governance, youth empowerment, and community development. According to him, inclusion among the honourees enhances credibility and strengthens collaboration among governments, institutions, and global stakeholders.

The summit, organised by the Davdan Peace and Advocacy Foundation in partnership with 100 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa, will feature keynote sessions, panel discussions, exhibitions, and high-level networking engagements aimed at driving innovation and investment across key sectors.

Building on the success of previous editions held in Kigali, Rwanda, Amafibe described the 2026 gathering as a “beacon for realising the African dream,” expressing optimism that the Morocco summit will further strengthen continental unity and position Africa as a hub for innovation, leadership, and sustainable growth.
