Tinubu meets APC governors at Presidential Villa

By Chesa Chesa

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday night held a closed-door meeting with governors elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The meeting, which took place at the President’s office inside the Presidential Villa, brought together several APC governors, while some others were represented by their deputies.

Among those sighted at the venue were Babagana Zulum, Hope Uzodimma, Inuwa Yahaya, Hyacinth Alia, Biodun Oyebanji, Peter Mbah, and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, among others.

The agenda of the meeting had not yet been officially disclosed, but it came less than 24 hours after President Tinubu met with the leadership of the Senate.

The earlier meeting was reportedly focused on concerns raised by lawmakers over the party’s ongoing consensus arrangements.

Thursday’s meeting with APC governors is widely seen as part of ongoing consultations within the ruling party amid emerging political developments.
