AMF backs Aduda’s APC senatorial ticket, expresses confidence in 2027 victory

The Aduda Mandate Forum (AMF) has commended the emergence of Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda as the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued on Thursday and signed by the group’s convener, Comrade Mark Oboh, the forum described Aduda’s emergence as a reflection of his enduring political relevance, leadership capacity, and commitment to the development of the FCT.

According to the statement, the APC’s decision to present Aduda as its candidate demonstrates the party’s confidence in his experience and track record of service.

“The people have once again spoken through the party, choosing competence, experience, courage, and a leader whose political journey has consistently been defined by service, sacrifice, and results,” Oboh said.

The group noted that Aduda, who served as Minority Leader in the Ninth Senate, distinguished himself as “a bridge-builder, courageous parliamentarian, and passionate advocate for justice, equity, and the welfare of ordinary Nigerians.”

AMF further stated that Aduda’s candidacy had renewed hope among residents of the FCT, particularly youths, women, grassroots communities, and party supporters who desire purposeful representation and inclusive governance.

“The Aduda Mandate Forum believes that this candidacy represents more than politics; it represents the restoration of visionary leadership and the continuation of a legacy built on accessibility, compassion, intellectual depth, and political maturity,” the statement added.

The group also described the former senator as one of the few political leaders whose grassroots appeal cuts across ethnic, religious, and political lines.

AMF called on APC stakeholders, supporters, and residents of the FCT to rally behind Aduda ahead of the 2027 polls.

“The task ahead is not just about winning an election, but about securing a future of stronger representation, people-oriented legislation, and sustainable development for the FCT,” the statement said.

The forum expressed confidence in Aduda’s ability to deliver quality representation if elected, stressing that he possesses the “wisdom, strength, and statesmanship” needed to advance the aspirations of the people.

“Congratulations once again, Distinguished Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda. The journey to victory and greater service has begun,” the statement added.
