The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has congratulated Muslims across the country on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, urging Nigerians to continue supporting the reform programmes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Professor Yilwatda described Eid-el-Kabir as a sacred festival that symbolises faith, sacrifice, obedience, love and devotion to Almighty Allah.

In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Information Strategy, Abimbola Tooki, the APC National Chairman said the spiritual lessons of the celebration were highly relevant to Nigeria at a critical stage of national development.

According to him, Eid-el-Kabir remains one of the most significant celebrations in Islam, reflecting the virtues of selflessness, unity, compassion, tolerance and complete submission to the will of God, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim.

He stressed that sacrifice, patience, perseverance and collective responsibility were essential ingredients needed to build a stronger, united and prosperous Nigeria.

Professor Yilwatda urged Nigerians, particularly the Muslim Ummah, to continue promoting peaceful coexistence, national unity and harmony across ethnic, religious and political divides.

He added that the Sallah celebration should further strengthen the bonds of love, understanding and brotherhood among citizens.

The APC chairman also appealed to Muslims and Nigerians in general to continue supporting the administration of President Tinubu and its ongoing reforms aimed at repositioning the country for sustainable economic growth, improved infrastructure, enhanced security, job creation and long-term prosperity.

According to him, although the reforms may require patience and shared sacrifice, they remain necessary steps towards restoring economic stability, strengthening institutions and securing a brighter future for generations yet unborn.

Professor Yilwatda expressed confidence that under Tinubu’s leadership, Nigeria would emerge stronger, more resilient and economically competitive among nations of the world.

He further called on Nigerians to use the Eid celebration to pray for peace, unity, security and progress in the country, as well as wisdom and divine guidance for leaders at all levels.

The APC National Chairman prayed that Almighty Allah would accept the sacrifices, supplications and acts of worship of the faithful and grant families peace, joy, good health and abundant blessings during and after the celebration.
