President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Prince Femi Adeniran, Executive Director of Airtel Nigeria, on the occasion of his 50th birthday, describing him as a distinguished professional whose career has contributed significantly to public service, private sector leadership, investment promotion and national development.

In a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President joined family members, friends, colleagues and associates in celebrating Adeniran’s golden jubilee.

Tinubu praised Adeniran as a respected corporate executive, public policy advocate and investment promotion expert whose professional journey has been marked by dedication, adaptability, courage and an unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s progress.

The President commended Adeniran’s patriotism and willingness to leave the comfort of senior private-sector positions to contribute to public service during critical moments in the country’s democratic and economic development.

According to the statement, Adeniran first demonstrated this commitment during the 2011 presidential election when he served as Chief of Staff to the Vice Presidential Candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), playing a key role in the organisational and strategic efforts that strengthened the progressive political movement.

Tinubu also recalled that Adeniran was later identified by a reform-focused team established to support governance and institutional efficiency and subsequently served in the Office of the Governor of Osun State between 2011 and 2014.

The President further acknowledged Adeniran’s tenure as the pioneer Chief Executive Officer of the Osun State Investment Promotion Agency from 2019 to 2022 under the administration of former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola. During that period, he was credited with strengthening investor engagement, improving the state’s investment promotion framework and fostering public-private partnerships aimed at driving economic growth.

Tinubu also highlighted Adeniran’s extensive private-sector experience, which spans financial services, education technology and telecommunications, noting that his expertise has earned him leadership roles in several domestic and international organisations.

The President specifically commended Adeniran’s return to executive leadership in 2023 as Executive Director of Airtel Nigeria, where he oversees Stakeholder Management, Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility. He noted that Adeniran’s broad experience has helped facilitate constructive engagement between the telecommunications industry and government while promoting the long-term sustainability and competitiveness of the sector.

Describing him as a bridge-builder, visionary communicator and committed patriot, Tinubu said Adeniran’s career embodies the values of private enterprise, public service and national duty.

The President prayed for Adeniran’s continued good health, wisdom and strength, wishing him greater accomplishments as he continues to contribute to Nigeria’s development and Africa’s growth.
