President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn in Mr Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF).

Enitan succeeds Mrs Didi Esther Walson-Jack, who retired from service after attaining the statutory retirement age of 60.

The swearing-in ceremony was held on Thursday at the State House, Abuja, and was attended by the Permanent Secretary, State House, Temitope Fashedemi, and other senior government officials.

The Presidency had announced Enitan’s appointment on August 19, 2026, with effect from August 27.

Before his appointment, Enitan served as Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Education and was the most senior Permanent Secretary in the Federal Civil Service.

His appointment marks the commencement of a new phase of leadership at the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
