President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola, on his birthday, commending his contributions to the development of Nigeria’s maritime sector.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu praised Oyetola’s commitment to advancing the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda through initiatives aimed at unlocking the economic potential of the maritime industry.
The President said that under Oyetola’s leadership, the ministry had pursued measures to improve efficiency in the maritime sector, attract investment, create jobs and strengthen Nigeria’s competitiveness in the global maritime industry.
Tinubu also described Oyetola as a renowned technocrat, shrewd administrator and committed patriot, citing his extensive experience in public administration and governance.
Oyetola, a former governor of Osun State, had a career in the insurance industry before joining public service as Chief of Staff to the Osun State governor and later becoming governor of the state.
The President said Oyetola’s years of service as an insurance professional, public servant and political leader demonstrated his commitment to Nigeria’s development.
“As Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, you brought experience and dedication to the task of transforming our maritime sector into a major driver of economic growth, investment and employment,” Tinubu said.
He commended Oyetola’s contributions to the Renewed Hope Agenda and urged him to remain steadfast in the service of the nation.
Tinubu prayed that God would grant the minister good health, wisdom and many more years of service to Nigeria and humanity.
