Twelve political, community and interest groups have declared Governor Uba Sani unbeatable ahead of the 2027 governorship election, expressing confidence in his re-election and pledging to sustain mobilisation for his second term.
The groups, drawn from different political and social constituencies across Kaduna State, are GCG Musawah 4 PBAT 2027; Forum of Southern Kaduna Professors and Academics (FOSKAP); APC Consensus Aspirants Forum; Kaduna State Association of Non-Indigenes Support Group for the APC; APC Jema’a Emirate Stakeholders, Kafanchan Wards A and B; Southern Kaduna Integrity Forum (SKIF); Southern Kaduna APC Elders Forum; Soba Local Government Political Appointees and Stakeholders; Uba Sani Back2Back (USB2B) Movement; Coalition of APC Support Groups for Tinubu and Uba Sani Continuity, 2027, Kaduna State Chapter; Tinubu–Uba Sani Consolidation Front (TUSCOF); and the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).
According to findings from the groups’ positions, their declarations reflect confidence in the governor’s prospects, with the organisations expected to sustain engagement within their respective constituencies.
Among the prominent figures associated with the mobilisation is Ambassador Polycarp Gankon, National Coordinator of GCG Musawah 4 PBAT 2027, whose structure has established grassroots coordinators across Kaduna State’s 23 local government areas. James Swam serves as the movement’s secretary. The group has also engaged 300 representatives of affiliated support and interest groups.
In Southern Kaduna, the Southern Kaduna Integrity Forum, convened by Samuel Tajo, has publicly endorsed Governor Uba Sani for a second term, alongside Senator Sunday Marshall Katung. The forum said its decision followed an assessment of the leaders’ records and development interventions.
The APC Jema’a Emirate Stakeholders covering Kafanchan Wards A and B and Daram-Dam Youth Movement have also declared support for Governor Uba Sani, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates ahead of the 2027 elections. Their statement was signed by Abubakar Hassan, Ismaila Tijjani, Professor Bashir Idris and other stakeholders, who pledged to mobilise voters across the area.
The Kaduna State Association of Non-Indigenes Support Group for the APC has similarly demonstrated its support through a rally in Kaduna. Chief John Nwankwere was identified as one of the rally’s conveners, while Chief Patrick Lawson spoke as chairman of the Political Committee of Ndigbos in Kaduna State. The gathering brought together members of different ethnic communities in support of Tinubu and Uba Sani.
NANS is also included among the groups following the endorsement of both President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani described in a post by the governor. TUSCOF, meanwhile, features among the platforms identified as backing the two leaders ahead of 2027.
The 12 groups represent a cross-section of political mobilisation platforms, APC stakeholders, community organisations and student interests. Their positions add to the growing political activity surrounding the 2027 elections in Kaduna State.
With the election approaching, the groups’ declarations place renewed attention on the political alliances and grassroots structures assembling around the governor’s second-term ambition.
